Systems Evaluation

Hospitals considering renovation often find this service to be of significant value. A walk through tour is conducted by one of our engineers, in the company of personnel from the hospital, knowledgeable in the layout of the hospitals' medical gas systems. This inspection is followed by a detailed report, complete with schematics outlining areas of concern and non-compliance with current medical gas standards.

On-site inspection includes:

On site evaluation of all medical gas system components. This requires a thorough walk-through of the entire hospital. Each medical gas zone will be examined for Standard compliance as to zone valve location, identification, zone valve type, piping size, type, brazing, and labeling. As well, medical gas outlets within each zone will be examined for Standard compliance, and one set of each style outlet will be tested for flow capability. One (1) outlet of each pressure gas in each zone will be tested for copper oxide particulate

Area medical gas alarm panels are inspected to determine if Standard requirements have been met as to location, circuitry, and identification.

Main line piping will be inspected for valving, sizing, labeling and brazing. Master medical gas alarm panels will be inspected as to location, interior circuitry, and alarm conditions annunciated.

All medical gas sources of supply will be inspected for Standard compliance, and all deficiencies and recommendations noted.

Report preparation includes:

Preparation of a comprehensive report, which details all system deficiencies with recommendations for corrective actions.
