Medical Gas Purity Sampling

A sample of each gas is drawn from the terminal unit that is furthest from the source. During the process of performing filter tests, samples of each gas are drawn in test cylinders for purity analysis by the testing lab. Dew point and halogenated solvent tubes are analysed by the lab. The filter has been pre weighed by the laboratory that performs the gas analysis, and hence the particulate content of the gas can be calculated. The laboratory, TRI Air Testing, Inc., performs the gas analysis to the requirements of Table 5.1.12.3.8 of the NFPA 99 (2002)Standard.
